SNCAE is a professional organization for college students preparing to become teachers. The organization provides members with opportunities to connect with those pursuing the same goals as well as gain resources for professional learning and development beyond the classroom. UNC Greensboro student members can coordinate, volunteer, and plan education activities during campus events such as the annual Children’s Festival and serve as reading volunteers at the local elementary schools.

Student Council for Exceptional Children

Council for Exceptional Children logoUNC Greensboro is host to a student chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children, the foremost professional organization for service to children with disabilities. Led by active and involved students from the fields of specialized education services, volunteerism and service to individuals with special needs is a major goal of the organization. Members also have extensive opportunities for professional development through attendance at local, state, and national conferences.
