Replacement Cycle, Procedures, and Warranties
The SOE IT director of instructional technology oversees acquisitions of technology assets and
maintains an inventory indicating the purchase date, assigned user, serial number, warranty, and specifications. This inventory records are used to determine which computers will be replaced.
The SOE will replace the primary computer used by full-time employees and will provide access to computers and refreshes at its discretion for, student workers, labs, spares, or other purposes. If a faculty or staff member is in possession of more than one SOE computer, only the one designated as the primary will be on the replacement list.
Questions regarding computer upgrades or replacements should be directed to the director of instructional technology via
