ERM assistant professor, Ayesha Boyce and Ph.D. student, Cherie Avent traveled to Champaign, IL September 28th, 2017 for the kick-off meeting of the National Science Foundation-funded Nanomanufacturing (nanoMFG) node. The aim of the nanoMFG node is to develop computational software tools aimed at creating smart, model-driven and experimentally informed nanomanufactured structures and devices. The node will be part of the established Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN) Cyber Platform, and the tools developed will be freely shared on the nanoHUB cyber framework. The nanoMFG node is the first of its kind in the country and is hosted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Boyce joins the NanoMFG node leadership team as the external evaluator.
