Dont forget that the 2014-2015 University Libraries/LIS Speaker Series event will be tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4 at 3 p.m.!

Adam Murray, a 2006 graduate of the UNCG Department of Library and Information Studies and current Dean of University Libraries at Murray State University, will be our featured speaker.

This event will be livestreamed via the Department of Library and Information Studies’ UStream channel at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ul-lis-lecture-series

Murray’s presentation will take place at 3pm in EUC Alexander, and it is open to everyone. It will focus on documenting library impact in the high impact areas of student engagement and retention. Refreshments will be available.

He will also be participating in two smaller, less formal group chats during the day:

  • 10:00am — chat with library liaisons and members of the Libraries’ assessment team (Hodges Reading Room)
  • 1:30pm — chat with LIS faculty and students, SOEB, Room 458

Thanks to the University Libraries and the Department of Library and Information Studies for sponsoring his visit.
