To request content on the SOE website be updated, including but not limited to adding additional images to a page, please complete the Website Change Request form. Request will be completed by the Digital Media Specialist or passed along to the appropriate department, office, or group to make adjustments.  

Updates may take up to 7-10 business days to complete. Please submit your changes with that time frame in mind.

SOE Bio Requests

The School of Education (SOE) provides each full-time faculty and staff member with a bio page. The page is designed to give relevant contact information for each faculty or staff member, along with a photo and an overview of their expertise. To submit your bio page content, download and complete the Bio Request document and email it to soeweb@uncg.edu.

Please keep in mind that updates may take up to 7-10 business days to complete. Please submit your content with that time frame in mind.

Faculty and Staff should use the Website Change Request form to update an existing bio. 

Website Development through the University

The University offers two options for site hosting to choose from, a Lamp Site or a Multisite, each with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. We have put together this website guidelines cheat sheet to help you make your decision about which direction you should take for your site. Website Development outside the University

Outside the constraints of the University there are many free options available to you to create websites. If you decide to go this route, then your site will receive minimal support by the University or by the School of Education (SOE). Sites can be linked to the SOE website but if you have technical issues with your site you will oversee troubleshooting, maintaining the site, and keeping your content up to date.

By going this route, it makes it more difficult for SOE to assist, however, we would still like to be a resource for your site. We urge you to share access to your site with our Digital Media Specialist, so that we can maintain of record of the sites that are linked to from the SOE website. With access, we would be able to assist with your site in emergency situations.

Through the UNCG SOE Web account, we will create a Google Site for you that can be used for your initiatives, conferences, and programs, specific to the School of Education. SOE Web maintains the ownership of the site but share appropriate privileges to the site with all those who need it in order to create and maintain the site. By taking part in this service, you are afforded extra support when and if it is needed to ensure that your site maintains the SOE and UNC Greensboro branding.
