Dr. Gay Ivey (TEHE), the William E. Moran Distinguished Professor in Literacy, became President of the Literacy Research Association at its annual conference held recently in Tampa, Florida. Her term runs through December 2018. The Literacy Research Association is an organization aimed at advancing literacy research, theory, and practice. LRA supports the development of emerging and established scholars and the dissemination of high-quality research intended to improve literacy and literacy education. UNCG was well represented at the LRA annual conference, with faculty and graduate students presenting a range of original research to peer colleagues from around the world.
