UNCG Library and Information Studies students Caroljean Gavin, Kelly Jones, Chase Hanes, and Della Owens will give presentations on their Alternative Spring Break experiences at 2:30 on Thursday, May 11 in SOE room 301.
The talk will be called “My Spring Break Experience: Alternative Spring Break Program Year One.”
Alternative Spring Break is a week long internship funded by the school, which was piloted in 2017. LIS students worked on specific projects in libraries across the state.
The students will be talking about their experiences of being immersed in a professional environment for a week, the projects they completed, and what they learned.
The event will be broadcast via WebEx. A link will be distributed closer to the date.
