I am honored to be the recipient of this scholarship, and your belief in our work is greatly appreciated. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Studies with a concentration in Cultural Foundations, and I am in the writing stage of my dissertation centering student voice in higher education. Getting my Ph.D. is an essential part of continuing work in postsecondary education for students with intellectual disabilities, in a way that best allows me to support my students, my team, and make the greatest impact in this field.
