Biography
Dr. Kim’s primary focus of research is linking for multidimensional item response theory models. When multiple test forms are calibrated using separate computer runs, it is often the case that person and item parameters are on different coordinate systems. The goal of linking is to place parameter estimates resulting from different calibration runs on a common coordinate system. His other research interests are test equating and interval estimation methods for test scores using various error models in classical test theory (e.g., binomial error model, compound binomial error model, multinomial error model).
