Biography

Dr. John Willse’s current research involves several approaches to latent trait modeling (e.g., structural equation modeling, item response theory, diagnostic classification, and mixture measurement models). Dr. Willse’s applied work involves using these methodologies in educational settings. He has served as a methodologist on several grants focusing on the evaluation of educational systems and on the development of assessment instruments. Dr. Willse is also active in the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME).
