The John H. Cook Society

The John h. Cook Society honors donors who contribute generously to the goals and vision of the School of Education at UNC Greensboro. As the School of Education’s champions, these dedicated supporters are invested in our core purpose of changing lives by advancing access to life’s opportunities. They recognize the responsibility of shaping the future.

All gifts to the Society will be honored in the School of Education Annual Report. Based on levels of support, members of the Cook Society will be invited to the annual Dean’s Dinner, receive insider information to SOE community programs, access to faculty, Cook Society only events, and more.

Your Cook Society level gift:

  • Provides student scholarships and other forms of support
  • Strengthens SOE initiatives supporting equity and diversity
  • Encourages initiatives that help our students connect with, and be mentored by, SOE alumni
  • Enriches student learning through travel abroad experiences
  • Expands student access to a wide range of experienctial, hands-on learning opportunities
  • Provides challenging professional development for faculty and staff
  • Recruits tenure-track and clinical faculty from underrepresented groups
  • Fuels the groundbreaking research of our world-class faculty
  • Expands the Impact Through Innovation program, providing grants directly to faculty to support first to market initiatives
  • Supports student involvement in innovative research
  • Launches a speaker series focusing on education with regional impact
  • Leaves a legacy through a named program fund or endowment with gifts of $15,000 or more
  • Creates a scholarship with a gift of $25,000 or more and change a student’s life – and yours – forever
